I'm fairly new to this whole blogging thing, though I've been wanting to do it for a while. I work for a major US bookseller. It's not difficult to figure out which one. (DISCLAIMER: any views expressed in this blog are not those of my employer, whoever that may be.) While I value reading, I think I like buying books more than reading them. One of my goals of 2011 is to read more. We'll see how that goes.
Digital publishing
I am absolutely super psyched about this whole ebook thing! I love my NOOKcolor (have you guessed who I work for yet?) and the incredible potential of ebooks fascinates me. I'm interested in following this development not only as an industry insider (haha), but as a consumer as well. I'll be sure to post any relevant (or irrelevant) information that I come across, as well as my thoughts.
Future indie author
My other huge passion in life is writing. While my job takes up roughly 35-40 hours of my week, my book takes up the rest (theoretically, at least). I've been seriously writing since high school, but I've been creating stories since I could think. I want to use this blog to share/document my whole writing/publishing process.

I've made a personal decision to go indie (at first at least) and publish my book myself, both in e-book and print format. It is my intention to work on some short stories or novellas related to my book and post them on this site. Again, we'll see how that goes...
